As most of you know, I have been working on a fabulous tarot deck for Llewellyn with illustrator Elisabeth Alba, who is as sweet as she is talented (so pretty damned sweet). When we finished, Elisabeth kindly offered to gift me with one of the original paintings--my choice. I debated back and forth for ages, since I loved them all so much, but finally narrowed it down to the one I thought I'd most like to have hanging on my wall. (I also intend to buy a few of the prints when she puts them up for sale, but an original is different, a real treasure.)
Yesterday, I got THIS in the mail.
THE ACE OF CUPS |
If you like the cards in this deck, then you are going to LOVE the new LLEWELLYN WITCH'S COLORING BOOK. This cool new addition to the adult coloring book craze features a number of different artists, including Elisabeth and also Mickie Mueller, who did the cover for my ebook version of Circle, Coven & Grove, as well as a number of the illustrations in The Witch's Broom
Check it out:
My painting isn't *quite* as good as Elisabeth's original... |

I've always loved to color. I don't have any of the trendy adult coloring books but I have a lot of the geometric ones they sell at art stores...I got them for my kids a long time ago. My youngest (14) likes to sit and color together :)
ReplyDeleteI love to color and love witchy stuff. Best of both worlds! I love the painting for the card. I'll have to check that tarot deck out. Looks like it will be amazing.

ReplyDeleteI just put the coloring book on one of my lists from Amazon. Is the Tarot deck available? I collect decks and would love to add this one to it.
ReplyDeleteAlas, the deck isn't out until next January.
DeleteI am very interested! I have not colored with any of the books that are out and have been wanting to. I heard they are good for people who have suffered a trauma and depression as I have.
ReplyDeleteI've never stopped loving coloring so I have loved the boom of adult coloring books. I find it's a great time to listen to an audiobook too. ;)
ReplyDeleteI have several colouring books. I have loved colouring since I was a young child. The most recent I have purchased was a Goddess colouring book. There is something so soothing about playing with colours. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I heard there was a witch's coloring book I might have done a happy dance.
ReplyDeleteI never stopped coloring! I have over 400 crayons...neon,glitter,metallic.

ReplyDeleteThis deck looks like it's going to be so amazing. I have a few coloring books from Johanna Basford - she does nature/fantasy type art, you should check those out too :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the deck. And you are so lucky to get the illustration! I loved it. I left two reviews on amazon for Circle, Coven and Grove and Everyday Witch A to Z. I've used them both for research in my own writing. I enjoy them both. I've bought coloring books for my daughter and daughter-in-law both.

ReplyDeleteDid I say family was disqualified?
