What's in that box? CONTEST!

Okay--I feel bad that yesterday's post about Samhain was such a downer. So today we're going to do something much more fun.

This large and mysterious box came for me yesterday. (And yes, I know what's in it.) The first person who can correctly guess--specifically--what is inside will win a prize. And yes, the prize is in the box, too.

Ready, set, go--what's in the box?

  1. New Books? Copies of YOUR newest book? Huh! Huh! Do I win?

P.s. How rude, I should at least say something nice like good morning, how are you?

  6. Okay, I cannot remember if you have a new book just coming out. If so, your copies are in there.

Otherwise, my first thought was "a camel!" Don't blame me, that's just how my mind works. Then something clothlike, and books. Weird, I know. But there we are.

  9. Okay--some of you are close, but not quite.

I am currently WRITING the new book, so alas, it won't be out for a while :-)

I did recently get copies of the four annuals I contributed to, but it was a much smaller box.

No Shoestring with a new cover that says COVR award winner...but I love that idea :-)

Not herbs. And sadly, not a camel.

Here is a hint: where was I last week?

  18. AND WE HAVE A WINNER!
    Well, two, actually :-)
Robena and Sierra are both right. The box (plus another one that went USPS) was filled to the brim with books from RWA--free ones and ones I bought at the Literacy signing, many of them signed by the authors.

To be fair, about a third of them are destined for my pal Robin, who had to cancel her plans to attend. But yes, that's a lot of books!

And Robena and Sierra each get one!!!!

  19. I Heart you so much. I am looking forward to all of those lovely books you've snagged for little ol' me--mostly because my Kindle doesn't supply me with "new book smell". I wonder how busy the NYC post office was with all of you RWA types mailing books home...
