Here's how it is going to work: I'm calling it "Giveaway by the Numbers" because I decided that I'd like to raise some of my "numbers" (blog followers and page views, Twitter and Facebook followers) before the next book comes out. You can help--AND maybe win a really cool prize.
Here's where we are right now:
On the blog, I have (gulp) 95,550 page views. Which I find stunning, really, but let's see if we can get it to 100,000! I also have 259 followers, and I'd like to get that to 300. For each of those goals we reach, I'll give away a prize. If we get to 12,000 page views, I'll give away an extra prize. If we get to 350 followers, I'll give away ANOTHER extra prize. You see how this is going, right?
On Twitter, I have 1,640 followers--I'd love to hit 2,000...what do you think? Can we do it?
On Facebook, I have 2,332 follower--can we get to 2,500?
The more goals we reach, the more prizes, but you are entered to win just by taking part.
Here's some of what I will be giving away, depending on how well we do:
The signed book of your choice (or multiple signed books), like one of these...
A $25 Amazon gift card
A lovely hand-crafted Deborah Blake original necklace (for you or to give as a holiday gift)
These are from the "Spirit & Potential" line |
A really cool poster of Magic the Cat (it isn't really her--it just looks like her, but way cool) that says "If you can spell, thank a witch"
And if we meet all our goals, I'll come up with something really spectacular...
So, help an author out and spread the word? *SMOOCHES*

And here is your Feline Friday cuteness
What you lookin' at?
I wish you weren't taking a break from being online. I like having you on Facebook to interact with. However you are leaving us with this cool contest and a great Feline Friday cat photo, so I suppose it's okay.
ReplyDeleteWell, I always take a break from FB and Twitter on the weekends, and I'll probably pop on a bit come Monday-Wed...but not a lot. (I might miss something important if I don't go online at all!) And I'll still be checking email...plus, you do actually have my phone number!
DeleteI think you meant "if we can reach 100,000", not 10,000. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I love that picture! Mystic, right? Looking as if beating up Samhain is the furthest thing from his mind.
Um, yes...that. (What can I say--I'm so tired, it is a miracle I got this post up at all...hence the vacation!)
DeleteGoing off to fix...
Well I follow your blog because you're so fabulous! Seriously though...I very much enjoy reading your blog (and all your books for that matter!) Have a wonderful Friday :D
ReplyDeleteGood answer :-)
DeleteI follow your blog because I enjoy your books. I like knowing that a new one or three is coming out soon.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog! I am currently reading The Goddess is in the Details. It's exactly what I have been searching for. I have plenty of Wicca 101 and 'casting spells' isn't high on my list. but rather how to enjoy nature and the Goddess every single day! So glad I found your work and look forward to more!
ReplyDeleteHi Amber! Welcome and I'm so glad you're enjoying the book. I'm working on a follow-up book as we speak!
DeletePretty necklaces :) Also, would you ever be up for being a source on if there are ways to include pets in winter Solstice celebrations? I'm trying to get permission to expand an article beyond just Christmas and Hanukkah and the question of sources was raised...
ReplyDeleteI'm always happy to be a source, although I can't think offhand of any particular ways to include pets... Do you think Mystic would agree to dress up as the Oak King? But if you think of something, by all means, count me in!
ReplyDeleteI discovered your books in my Llewellyn's catalog yesterday and then they tweeted about the contest..now I'm entering and looking forward to reading your books!
ReplyDeleteWelcome, Michele!
DeleteThanks Deborah...hope your Hibernation Vacation restored you!
DeleteOnce more, good luck to all who've entered! Sweet dreams everyone!
