Feline Friday: The Rat Report

I am still fighting the good fight against the rat incursion. (RATS!) So far the count is Deborah 9, Rats 2 --the washer hose and my good garden boots, which I went to pull out of a corner of the mudroom yesterday and discovered THIS

Rats. We hates them, my Precious...

But I'm hearing less noise in the walls, so hopefully I've made a sizable dent in their population.

In the meanwhile, I still haz the cute kitties to console me. Here's your Friday Feline fix. I hope your Friday is fabulous and your weekend lovely.
Magic, feeling that my row of birthday cards was missing something somehow.
Samhain, giving me the "you aren't REALLY going to stick me with that giant needle again" look. Poor baby, she's a trooper.

    1. Yeah. The boots mean WAR, baby. It's like they're just taunting me.

  2. Oh, I see it's open toed boot season! Did the kittehs forget the adoption/employment clause 75.33B? "As part of the adoption/ hiring agreement all kittehs shall, to the best of their ability, defend against/ eradicate/ pounce upon/maul/decapitate and/or play with till it expires, any and all forms of vermin from ant up to and including oppossums."

    1. LOL. The kittehs definitely read that part of the agreement, and fulfill it faithfully in the parts of the house they can access. Since they aren't allowed in the basement or mudroom, and can't reach inside the walls, they are excused for not getting the rats.

    2. Aw, lack of working thumb's can get in the way of opening basement doors. OK, they can slide....

  3. The boots: ugh! *shudder*

The kittehs are wonderful. I'm surprised Samhain isn't completely resigned to the sticking.

    1. If you could see the size of the needle I have to use (18 gauge), you'd be surprised she ever sits still for it at all.

Really, she's very good, all things considered. If it was Angus or Minerva, I'd never get them to sit still after the first time...

  4. Started to say the rats had met their match in you but then I realized that could be taken the wrong way. Glad you're winning the rat race. Hehehe
    Thanks for the kitties.
My Friday meant a new haircut that I've gotten several compliments on so - good stuff.

  6. Geez! Those rats are really waging a war! Beyond the washer and the boots, do you have issues in any area other than the mudroom? I'd totally be on a first name basis with the exterminator at this point! LOL
