We're rapidly approaching the most magical holiday of them all, Halloween--or as many Witches refer to it, Samhain. This day is often referred to as the Witch's New Year, when we say goodbye to the old year and welcome in the new.
So what better time to welcome in a new cover for one of my favorite books, THE WITCH'S BROOM? Llewellyn has decided to give the entire series new, matching covers, and while I loved the old one (sniffle) I think the new one is very cool too.
As it happens, my pal Robert Skinner, of Blue Moon Broom, Brush, and Besom, just sent me some very cool magickal brooms to give away as I chose. (Isn't he sweet?) So one lucky winner will get a copy of the book with its new cover, and a fun broom to go with it, just in time for the holiday (you know, or close).

ReplyDeleteLove the new cover. I have a witchy cobweb broom that reaches the high places. I don't use it until after Halloween though.
ReplyDeleteI do have a special broom! It is a old blue stick broom, I used it as part of my Halloween costume many many years when I was little. It is probably about 3ft tall and I love it!
ReplyDeleteNo special broom, even as beloved cat tribe litter flinging challenges require me to sweep upstairs at least twice a day...mundane broom and the daily ritual keeps all living together peaceably.

ReplyDeleteMy special broom is a dustpan & brush :) when I started walking this path 19 years ago, I came across the pair with a sweet flower painted on the handle. I loved it then & I love it still! I use it to clear the area for casting my circle. I’ll also use it to sweep away old energy that has a tendency to pile up in ge corners around fall cleaning time~

ReplyDeleteI used to have a very lovely broom from Broomchick on etsy. One of her witch besoms in the rust colour. It was a gift from a dear friend, and my...well-meaning mother took it out of the back of our pickup truck when we were moving and left it in storage at a friend's. I hadn't even used it yet!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't intended for it to be left behind, but alas! The woman and my mother fell out and I never saw my stuff again. I haven't had the heart to get a new special broom since.
Oh no! And those are such amazing brooms, too. That's so sad. You should definitely get yourself another one.
