Where my money goes--or why I'm not rich

  1. It doesn't help when all your friends are enablers, right? Certainly all mine are.

    "But it's a book!"

  2. It's worse than that...
All my friends are WRITERS. And they keep putting out books that I then have to buy :-)

  3. Same here, Deborah. I have a running list of who has what coming out when. I'm happy to read them and I want to be supportive.

(I'm trying to say something with correct languaging so that it is harmless to my finances. I just need to shut up cause the correct wording won't come.)

  4. Yes, and then your library gets huge, and then you move, and the worst part about moving is your library and your bookshelves, and then your friends both envy and hate you because they have to help you move your books....

Not that this has ever happened to me.

  5. I totally understand your issues ;). I look at my TBR bookcase and wonder where else I can trim back because it's not going to be at bookstore.

  6. I've filled up all the space I can in my office with books (three deep in the wall-length shelves), spilled out into another bookcase in the front entry,Two more bookcases in the media room, and nearly maxed out my eReader's storage. My husband says we won't be short of kindling if the power should go out on us:-)

  7. My money goes to the same place. But its worth it to have all those stories at my fingertips. :)

  8. Ladies, I understand all too well. We’ve moved more than once and we had more boxes for books than for our stuff! I have books all over the place, some read and some waiting to be read. When to find time to read them all? Alas, I must work in order to support my habit (and my husband’s!). Never get rich this way.
