New Year, New Giveaway!

Well, folks, it's 2016. Holy crap.

Any big plans?

I've got all sorts of things planned for at least the first part of the new year, although I'm not as sure what's happening later on. Let's see...

I've got the next Baba Yaga novella, WICKEDLY EVER AFTER coming out on January 19th (you can keep track by checking the release tracker at the top of the blog). I have to admit I am really excited about this story, since it shows us what happens to Barbara and Liam and little Babs after the end of Wickedly Dangerous. Plus, Berkley is only pricing it at $1.99, which is great, don't you think?

Then just a couple of weeks later, the next Baba Yaga novel will be out! WICKEDLY POWERFUL is the story of Bella, the third of the Baba Yagas, and I can't wait until you meet her on February 2nd!

I'm not planning to travel as much in 2016 as I did in 2015, but I will be in Daytona Beach in early February for Coastal Magic. I hope I get to see a few of you there, since I hear from my friends who have gone in previous years that it is a lot of fun. Plus, you know, beach in Florida in February :-) I'll also be at Albacon in Albany, March 4th through 6th.

Mostly though, I'll be working on the first two Rider books for the next trilogy in the Baba Yaga series (it will be called The Broken Rider series, but it is still a continuation of the ongoing story, and the Babas will make appearances in each Rider book). And hopefully finding some time for fun and rest and you know, going to the gym because of all the holiday cookies...

What do you plan to do in 2016? Anything fun or interesting?

I thought I'd kick us off with the first giveaway of the year. It's a two-parter, in fact. There is a main prize pack, featuring a calendar with pictures of my cats and my books, plus signed copies of Wickedly Dangerous and Wickedly Wonderful, a fun stuffed dragon, and some of the usual swag (bookmarks, postcards, etc.) And then there will be a second, smaller prize, with a smaller version of the calendar, a signed copy of Everyday Witchcraft, and some more swag.

Main prize pack!

Big calendar and small calendar

Magic is approving the book giveaway for the 2nd prize
As usual, no purchase is necessary (although you score extra points if you preorder the novella or the new novel, and you get extra points and my eternal gratitude if you post a NEW FOR 2016 review of any of the books). Commenting here will also get you extra points, so don't forget to tell me what you plan or hope to do in the coming year. And yes, this one is open to everyone, everywhere, just because I love you all so!

Happy New Year, and may 2016 bring you everything you desire and more than you could ever have dreamed of...

  1. I hope to write more this year. I need to finish the many stories and books I have started but never completed. This is the year to wrap things up and move on.

  2. I plan to change, to be who I am and now who people expect it to be. I am planning on writing for pagan magazines, selling my jewellery, doing NaNoWriMo and winning and hopefully/maybe start the witchy book I want to write. I am also going to be doing a Fellowship of Isis course, a Druidry course AND giving a talk at one of my favourite events.

In short, busy. I'm going to be busy in 2016!

  7. No real resolutions. Maybe lose a few pounds to make myself feel better. Mostly try not to over-react to small stuff or be over-sensitive. Don't sweat the petty stuff & don't pet the sweaty stuff! ;)

  9. If I had an open bank account I would definitely pre-order both but I don't. I'll have to wait until they come out and buy them then. I still have a little money left on the Amazon gift card I got for the holidays and your books are always top choices (I got Veiled Magic and The Witch's Broom with it as soon as I got home that night). The biggest thing I have planned it to get my driver's license this year. I never needed it before as I live within three blocks of several different bus routes. I'll make sure to post reviews of your books as I finish them.

  12. Relief, from so much pain and sadness and burden that piled up in 2015. I'm ready to lay it all down, to rise up out of the ashes of a year that seemed determined to end me.
