Jewelry, Jewelry, Jewelry

Sometimes it is hard to remember that I have a life outside publishing...but now that Wickedly Dangerous is out in the world and managing more-or-less on its own, I am taking a brief break from writing to catch up with my OTHER side job, jewelry making.

Here's a glimpse at what I've been doing, in case you're curious...

Ryolite, also known as Rainforest Jasper

Poppy Jasper--perfect colors for fall

more Poppy Jasper

Snowflake Obsidian stars--an unusual stone I can't often get, but I love it!

Blue Onyx with neat ceramic beads

Sodalite -- like Lapis, but without the gold flecks (good for healing and peace)
What do you think? Do you have a favorite?

Today I'm going to be working with carnelian, which is one of mine...

  1. Pretty! I really love the last one. Where do you normally get the stones you use? Just curious because my local craft store doesn't always have the ones I am looking for.

    1. I don't have a local craft store, alas. I buy all my stones online, mostly at Fire Mountain Gems and South Pacific (which is in Vermont, ironically). My favorite place to get gemstones and other supplies just closed their doors after 40+ years, alas.

  2. You have chosen magnificent stones, and the necklaces and earrings are lovely and dramatic. You must sell them in the shop you manage, but are they also available online? I really enjoy your blog and your books. Keep writing. Thanks.

    1. I had an Etsy store for a while, but I didn't have the time to keep it up. So mostly people just by the jewelry from the shop. But every once in a while someone falls in love with a picture I post here or on Facebook, and then we arrange to have them pay me through Paypal, and I pop the goodies into the mail.
