Llewellyn Witches' Calendar Giveaway!

Llewellyn's 2013 Witches' Calendar
Isn't it pretty?

I have been writing books for Llewellyn Worldwide since my first one, Circle, Coven & Grove, came out in 2007. I also have articles in many of their fabulous annuals and almanacs. But this year is the first time I have ever been featured in one of my favorites of all their products: the Witches' Calendar!

I'm a little excited :-)

You can find my essays and spells on the February, June, and October months, and the calender itself is available online from Llewellyn and Amazon, if you can't find it in a store near you.

There are a few other kinda cool things going on, including the fact that my latest novel is now out on submission! [And that means I can tell you what it is all about...stay tuned.]

To celebrate, I am going to be giving away a copy of the new calender to someone who comments here by the end of the week (Friday, midnight EST). This one has to be for USA residents only, I'm afraid, since sending the calendar elsewhere would cost more than it is worth.

And as always, I would REALLY appreciate it if you could take a moment to write a review for any of the books you've read and liked, and post it on Amazon, B&N, and/or Goodreads, as well as clicking "like" on Amazon. I was looking up a book by fellow Llewellyn author Tess Whitehurst (a sweetie!) and discovered that one of her books had over 200 reviews! I'm beginning to develop a complex...

Anyway, leave a comment here about the calendar, the books, or, heck, the weather, and one lucky winner will get to see my first-ever calendar appearance! Good luck.

  2. Already have one. :-) However, I will comment on your books - they are all a fabulous read and for this Solitary, good insight. Blessed Be. I just read a book where the characters all said "Blessed Be" when they said good-bye...I liked the idea.

  14. OK, I'm going to go one different! I love your columns in Witches and Pagans, especially the last one in the "Element of Air' issue! That one, 'Magick On A Shestring' with it's focus on Air Elements, really gave me some great ideas about incorporating Air into my everyday life, especially #3, 'Fill The Air With Sound'. As a musician, I play music daily, and I found it extremely meditative, insightful and practical that I could really inspire my practices, and even improvisations with a focus on the Air Elementals. To play mindfully, made me not only want to play more, but it made me start to record and see what i could come up with, and the result was startling. It even influenced the work I did recording and listening to playback, and charting the moods of the pieces I was working on, some becoming songs, some becoming improvisational recordings, which could either be built upon, or just stand alone on their own. The fact that any sound, from a chant to a bell, to a guitar, to even static, channeled correctly made me look at the Element of Air in a completely different way. I shall never play or make music, or even listen to it the same way again! Thanks for that! It sure opened up he improvisational abiliies1

  16. Congratulations! I converted to Wicca/Paganism only this past year, so I don't have much of a library yet. I'll be sure to look at your books as soon as my budget allows. Hopefully they are available electronically, I steal time to read whenever I get a moment.

  19. Congrats Deborah!! I always love reading stuff from you and finding out that you are now going to be showcased in the Llewellyn calendar is wonderful. Now I have another reason to get one. I currenly only have one of your books, Witchcraft on a Shoestring. I found it to be a wonderfully written book full of great ideas, recipes, and crafts. I also have a goal to purchase your books "The Goddess is in the Details" and "Circle, Coven and Grove". I have heard both are great and I can't wait to get my own copy of them.

  25. How cool to be in the calendar; congrats!! :) Hmm, I didn't buy a Witches' Calendar this year (b/c I buy the datebook, get free calendars in the mail, and thought I'd practice tracking moon phases, etc. on my own)… but how can I pass up trying to win one now? Put me in the contest, please! P.S. I’ll write another book review on Amazon by the end of the week (under the name “Mel).

  26. Bob said in an email:
Love to win the Witches' Calendar because, up to now, I've mainly used calendars depicting classic autos. While pictures of Duesenbergs and Packards are all well and good, it's time for a change - the kind that leaves folks wondering if I've suddenly become a deeper gent. And, hey, maybe I actually will!
