Happy Anniversary Creativity Cauldron!

As many of you know, I started giving online writing classes four or five years ago, including my popular "Witchcraft for the Paranormal Author" and "Beyond Fangs: Creating New & Interesting Paranormal Characters" workshops. [That last one is going to be given starting April 9th at savvyauthors, in case you were wondering. Then probably not again for a couple of years.]

I've had a lot of fun doing it, so much so that I recently started my own workshop loop for witchcraft and writing classes (thanks to the urging and help of author pal Heather Long).

One of the best things to come out of giving these classes was The Creativity Cauldron loop. There is, apparently, something about the tone and atmosphere of my classes that makes people want to stay in touch with both me and each other, long after the classes are over. I'm not taking any credit for this--I think I'm just remarkably lucky and attract a lovely bunch of folks.

But after saying being asked repeatedly to make a permanent place for those who have taken my classes to gather, I finally gave in and started The Creativity Cauldron (with the help of the fabulous Holly Atkinson...in case you hadn't figured it out, the technical side of these things is NOT my area of expertise!). The Cauldron is primary aimed at authors (aspiring and published) of writing that is in some way paranormal in nature. But we have welcomed in anyone who has taken any of my classes, and a few friends as well.

The Creativity Cauldron has grown into a warm and welcoming place, full of fun and fabulous people who share their ideas, support each other, and generally encourage and cheerlead for anyone who needs it. And today, it is two years old.

Happy anniversary, CC!

And if the Cauldron sounds like a place you want to be, you are welcome to join us. There is a place to sign up on my website Deborah's Website

  1. Happy Anniversary, Deb! Congrats on creating such a warm, welcoming place. I think you can claim a bit of the credit, because you set the tone. Continued success, roomie. :)
